Basic Tools - Hammer and Eyelets

One of the most basic tools around scrapbooking is the hammer. How can we work the hammer and what is it used for?

The answer is easy - the hammer is used to set eyelets. Here at Momoyo - we sell a variety of different eyelets - ranging from baby rattled shaped ones to the simple star shaped ones. We are sure that you will find something that suits your style.

We have a simple demonstration here on how to use a hammer with eyelets.

Whenever working with the hammer setting eyelets,  it would be more advisable to use a mat to protect the surface of your table.

Firstly,  you need to make the holes which the eyelets need to go into with the tools above.

Insert your eyelets and set the eyelets with an eyelet setter.

Here we have decided to thread some fabric through to enhance the look of the album.
